We invite you to join Moreton & Company’s Safety & Loss Control department for a presentation on OSHA’s silica standard.

Crystalline silica is a common mineral found in construction materials. Without the proper safety measures, workers can breathe in the particles created by cutting, drilling, and crushing silica-containing materials and develop a serious, and sometimes deadly, lung disease known as silicosis.
OSHA’s standard requires employers to take certain steps to protect their employees from exposure to crystalline silica dust. Our Safety & Loss control team will discuss what the standard requires, how construction workers are exposed to silica, and what steps employers can take to protect their employees.
