HIPAA Training for Employer
Sponsored Self-Funded Health Plans
Join us virtually or in-person at our Salt Lake City location for a presentation focusing on Employer-Sponsored Self-Funded Health Plans. This HIPAA training is for human resource personnel with health plan responsibilities. Topics include:
- Discussion and explanation of HIPAA privacy rules, including a definition of PHI, when and how PHI can be used by the company health plan (and the personnel administering the health plan), and best practices in the HIPAA privacy area;
- Discussion and training on the HIPAA security rules, including a definition of e-PHI, security requirements for plans utilizing e-PHI, how e-PHI should be used, stored, and transmitted, and best practices in the HIPAA security area;
- Discussion and training on HIPAA breach notification requirements.
