Derek Debenham

Derek works closely with business owners and executive teams to develop commercial insurance and risk management solutions that reduce uncertainty, protect assets, and support long-term growth. He coordinates Moreton & Company’s resources on behalf of his clients, including carrier negotiations, marketplace strategy, coverage design, and specialized risk management expertise.

Prior to joining Moreton & Company, Derek spent more than a decade in client-facing roles within the software industry, helping organizations solve operational, financial, and risk challenges while improving efficiency and driving business outcomes. Drawing on his degree in Business and Accounting, Derek brings an analytical and consultative approach to helping clients evaluate exposures, strengthen coverage programs, and make informed insurance decisions.
