Kim Aitken

Kim is Director of our Risk Management Department , which handles larger, complex, multi-line accounts, including international exposures. Their job is to make sure our clients’ risks are managed and that their gaps are filled. Our insureds are our partners and we strive for a long-term partnership. Kim’s expertise includes the garage business, professional sports teams, sports and entertainment industries (e.g., radio, TV, stadiums, arenas, theaters), retail, property, construction, agriculture, and more.  Kim joined Moreton & Company in 1996. Before that, she spent 4 years outsourced to the Risk Management Department for the 2002 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, specializing in placing coverage and claim handling. She has experience in underwriting, rating, and marketing, and strong negotiating skills. Her knowledge and experience give her the ability to effectively lead and motivate her team.  She specializes in hard-to-place programs, alternative risk financing, paid loss and incurred loss retrospectively rated programs, large deductible, and first dollar insurance programs.
