Marketing & Communications Specialist

Moreton & Company is seeking a marketing specialist who enjoys crafting and sharing impactful stories through various channels. We are looking for a candidate who works well in a highly collaborative environment that enjoys the process of understanding an audience and creating materials that speak to them.

As the Marketing & Communications Specialist, you will work closely with the business development team to understand current business needs and goals and utilize effective communication to promote our services and help our brand grow. You’ll actively contribute to the company’s marketing strategy and long-term vision through your work in helping to make impactful materials for our clients, employees, and community.

Skills & Qualifications
  • 4-year degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
  • 2+ years experience in corporate marketing position preferred
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Experience with Adobe InDesign (Adobe Creative Suite preferred)
  • General knowledge of the insurance industry preferred
  • Knowledgeable in design principles such as layout, typography, image usage, branded colors, and fonts, etc.
  • Possess strong organization and time management skills
  • Advanced communication skills, both written and verbal, with precision in grammar.
  • Ability to own projects from start to finish with minimal supervision

Graphic Designer/Production Artist

Moreton & Company is seeking a Graphic Designer / Production Artist who is creative, detail-oriented, highly organized, flexible, and self-motivated to join our growing marketing and communication department. Advanced experience with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop on the PC platform is essential. As the position is more production-oriented than design-focused, the ideal candidate will have an understanding of the production/pre and press process. Must enjoy creative/project collaboration and be efficient with file preparation for print and electronic platforms in a fast-paced environment. The ability to work under pressure to deliver high volumes of accurate work with a strict adherence to brand standards and timelines is central to the role.

Your responsibilities will include the technical production and quality assurance of design files, under the direction of the Marketing Manager. If you love layout, typography, composition, and seeing a project come to life from start to finish, you will thrive in this role.

Skills & Qualifications
  • Knowledge of production/pre-press processes
  • Firm grasp of sound design principles
  • Must be able to efficiently and accurately deliver proofs and project deliverables with strict adherence to brand guidelines and timelines
  • 3-5 years of working Graphic Design or Production Design experience
  • 2+ years of experience in a corporate office position preferred
  • Advanced experience with Adobe Creative Suite InDesign on a PC platform (Acrobat Pro, Photoshop, and Illustrator a bonus)
  • Experience producing multi-page InDesign documents
  • Solid understanding of typography
  • PowerPoint, Word, Excel experience are highly desirable
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Sound judgment and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to work well independently with minimal direction
  • Strong attention to detail, organization skills, and problem-solving skills
  • Positive attitude towards challenges and change
  • Ability to work well with a team and collaborate with colleagues as well as work well independently with minimal direction
